| This web site is titled "PLOIESTI" simply because it is symbolic of only one of the many well known awesome locations where fierce and fiery battles were waged by so many valiant warriors -- and to let those valiant warriors who did not survive the shambles of war know they have not been forgotten -- they did not die in vain. This web host invites all Combat Veterans to tell your story -- or list a book that you have written -- on this web site. It makes no diffrence if you served in the ground war, the air war, or an ocean war -- or if you fought from Pearl Harbor to Corregidor in the Bataan Death March -- or fought from Guadalcanal to Tokyo -- or fought in those fiery skies over Europe or the Pacific -- or survived the carnage at Normandy to Berlin. It is vitally important that your story or book be made available for the present and all future generations. The internet is the place to make it public and be assured that it will be used for educational purposes. Only then will our grandchildren and their grandchildren come to know the horrors of war. The Children of today are hungry for the information that is locked up in your mind - - please consider sharing it with America's youth, the future leaders of the free World. With your help our youth will be the leaders in eliminating war as a way of life on Planet Earth. The youth of today and tomorrow have the whole Universe at their feet and they will - - without a doubt - - someday - - explore it all. This Web Hosts's only regret is that he was born a few hundred years too soon. There will be no charge to a Veteran for having his or her story told on this World Wide Web Site. The story cannot be more than 500 words in single space text and no more than two pages and two photos or images can be included on the two pages. If a book is to be listed the descriptive text cannot be more than 200 words with one photo and must be on one single page. The Web Host reserves the right to edit the text for brevity without losing the theme of the story. All Veterans will retain copyright ownership. For more information send your query to this web host who himself is a Combat Veteran and former POW. Obviously, any web site does cost money to maintain. Listings on this web site are free to Veterans and if anyone wishes to donate to its maintenance it will be graciously accepted. No other mail or personal contact will be made unless requested by the person being granted this free listing. Our E-mail address is Basino4@netrscape.net. |
